Athletic Programs

Louisburg Parks and Recreation (LPR) offers youth activities including baseball, softball, tee ball, basketball, and fall soccer.

In baseball, LPR operates under the Dixie Youth Baseball banner. Different levels include Coach Pitch for 7 and 8 year olds, Minor League for 9 and 10 year olds, and Major League for 11 and 12 year olds. Advanced Tee Ball is offered for children ages 4-6. Baseball is offered in the Spring and Fall.

In softball, Louisburg operates under the Tar Heel League banner. Leagues are offered for 8 and under, 10 and under, and 12 and under and 14 and under . The Tar Heel League is a competitive fast pitch softball program. Softball is offered in the Spring and Fall.

Soccer is offered in the fall. Leagues are offered for 4-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds, and 10-12 year olds and 13-15 years old. Leagues are co-ed.

Basketball is offered during the winter months and leagues are offered for 4-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds, 10-12 year olds, and 13-15 year olds. Leagues are co-ed and all games are played at the Louisburg Elementary School gymnasium.

Louisburg Parks and Recreation encourages youth participation and is a competitive organization. However, a strict code of conduct is to be adhered to by all involved in the program.

Applications for participation are normally distributed through the Franklin County Schools. You can also download these respective applications and additional sport related information below:

Individuals of good character and who accept the philosophiesof the Louisburg Recreation Program may be considered as Coaches for our various program teams.  Coaching applications ae carefull scrutinized, criminal background and drug testing performed, and interviews conducted prior to being deemd  a Coach in the program.  If you would like to be considered for a Head or Assistant coaching position, the Coaches application form may be downloaded HERE.
